HOUSTON, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Six migrants, including a baby, on Friday crossed the Rio Grande River from Mexico, trying to seek asylum in the United States.
The crossing is just one of the hundreds that happen every day along the border in the U.S. state of Texas.
But the circumstance still pales in comparison to what federal, state and local officials faced in September when about 15,000 Haitian migrants descended on Del Rio, Texas.
Texas has been building its own border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border in response to illegal border crossings.
