5.3-magnitude quake hits off coast of Costa Rica -- GFZ

BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted off the coast of Costa Rica at 2236 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 8.95 degrees north latitude and 84.06 degrees west longitude.
