RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Former Mexico national team boss Juan Carlos Osorio has been named manager of newly promoted Clube do Remo, the Brazilian side said on Thursday.
The club announced the Colombian's appointment on social media, without detailing the length of the contract.
"Welcome, Juan Carlos Osorio. May it be a successful spell," it said.
Based in the northern city of Belem, Remo secured its return to Brazil's top flight after a 31-year absence by finishing fourth in Serie B this year.
Osorio, 64, has been without a club since parting ways with Mexico's Tijuana in March.
