Add to depth with Southland Player of the Year

After an offense-filled three rounds of the draft, the Cardinals went defense to begin Saturday's choices.

Defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor was the team's fourth-round pick, adding to a room that has picked up Darius Robinson and Walter Nolen III the past two seasons.

Proctor, the Southland Defensive Player of the Year at Southeastern Louisiana, started 34 of his 35 career games. He totaled 134 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and 16 sacks.

Proctor's pick was announced by his fellow defensive tackle, veteran Roy Lopez, live from Mexico.
